The Sony Reader from wygit 350/650 series uses a standard micro-USB data and charging, but with one reservation - they have things jiggered so that will be loaded from a computer, but not all the standard USB-AC converters (at least none that I tried). Belkin, Apple and others, you connect it, and in a minute, you get a message on the screen that says "The device does not support." Then you have two choices. The Sony charger for $ 30, $ 23, or from a dealer here on Amazon, or the bundle of $ 7, which includes the converter AC converter, cable, and (for some reason) a hook and headphones. I had the chance to play with all the features. I also had a Sony Reader PRS-505 for about one year and half. The ergonomics and features of Sony PRS-650, in my opinion, is a beautiful piece of equipment. It is lighter than the PRS-505, weighing only 7.6 grams. It's also a bit smaller, but has the same screen size. It has an aluminum body and a rear surface tangle. The back is less slippery and therefore easier to handle. In fact, I prefer now to read about the Sony Reader verses a physical paper book. Many people will say they like the feel of a book. You'll get over it. The Sony Reader is better than a paper book. The PRS-650 is lighter than most paper books. You'll be amazed how this can be liberating. You can take a hand in many comfortable positions. Furthermore, the reading surface flat on a paper book, the reading surface curved near the binding, resulting in uneven lighting. Additionally, there is no reason to maintain an open eReader as you do with a paper book. Turning a page requires no effort. The words flow into your mind, as if the device was not there. Beautiful design, leading to an immersive reading. I thought the PRS-505 was well designed for reading. The PRS-650 is also designed to read, has just has a ton more. I must say that the PRS-505 is designed for a better turn the page delivered. The PRS-505 has two buttons on the pages turning at different places on the eReader. This gave a hand in turn supplied it with both hands. The PRS-650 has only one set of buttons to turn pages. For once hand side, you can pretty much only use my left hand. The touch screen also allows you to turn the page by sliding the screen. It's cool, but I do not think it's better than the touch of a button. The screen of the PRS-650 rocks! It was noticeably higher contrast than the PRS-505 and PRS-505 was used as a "gold standard" for readability. The sooner touch models (PRS-700 and PRS-600) endangered contrast and glare on the touch screen. The PRS-650 Sony has solved this problem. It looks good and glare is really no problem. Page also seems aimed at around 50% faster than the PRS-505. The PRS-650 can also change how the text does, however. This works well for books, colored text, there seems to be as dark as they might have. I will not go over all the functions, but for some, is that the PRS-650 in the PRS-505. The only feature I love most is the ability to select text. With a touch screen that's almost how you do it in a paper book with a highlighter. You can work better with your finger, but the stylus for small fonts. Then you can create a note with the highlighted text. This note can be written by hand when you can draw with the stylus, or you can use a qwerty keyboard touch If the text is highlighted a note associated with it, shows a small icon next to the highlighted text. When you touch the highlighted words, the note opens. I have read many nonfiction books that I want to stress is so great for me. You can also mark a book of drawing directly on the page with the stylus. You can wrap things make arrowheads, etc., with the stylus or your finger. Very cute! The other feature I like is the ability to zoom in on a page. I read books on my PRS-505 that took the cards that I could not help the "screen 6. Now, with the zoom, I see clearly. The PRS-650 has a nice feature where you can double-click a ' image in the book and zoom in to fill the screen with the image only. Another feature is worthy of note reflow PDFs. This is nothing new for the PRS-650. If you read a lot of PDF documents is enormous.

It is the greatest form more suitable for PRS-300. It seems solid, but only the front filled worries me. Conclusion: It would be great if you own the previous model handheld e-book from Sony, not so good if you own the new version. October 10 people found this review helpful. Higher than expected by Angela Silvestro got this case as a gift, not least to keep my Sony PRS-350. This case is much higher than expected. Since it is too big for the PRS-350, it is impossible to fix the device in the box with the included straps. This size difference makes it impossible to read the device while in the case. I have read many books, because getting it. I bought my wife a rose and she liked it so much I had to get a silver for myself. We are both crazy for them. Purchase incredible. People who are very familiar with an e-reader does. He reads books. I'm going straight to my comments, because this was the best e-reader for me and my wife. The Good ============== ================= 1. It is small enough to fit in your shirt pocket. There is no waste of space to talk about around the edge of the screen. If you look at other e-readers are great keyboards and various other wasted space. What makes it a pain to take around. That's small enough to fit in your shirt pocket or jacket or easily held in the hand, but still sports a five-inch screen (which is one inch smaller diagonally than the Kindle, for example). 2. Touchscreen. The reason that this button has no unpleasant is that it has a touchscreen that works very well double-tap a word with his finger to show the setting. You brush your finger across the screen to pass in silence the page. Brush down to scroll quickly through the book. I would not have thought of the touch screen is an important feature, but it is very valuable. I'm very satisfied customer ... but here are the things that you can not or suboptimal: ============= == = ================== The poorer ===== First, there is no wifi. You must use a computer to add books. I was not so disturbing. How often do you book? And every book is only half a meg and it has two gigs of space. So it's 4000 book. How often you need to connect. In any event, does not bother me, but some people like to have wifi. In fact, this awesome team, because if you just plug it acts as a USB flash drive and just copy things over is not necessary to use the Sony software. Freedom! 2nd Silver is too bright. The borders around the screen reflects more light than the screen. If there is a light behind me I find annoying. Not a problem with the pink version. I would have liked black. I finally ended up covering my limits with clean out tape to stop staring. 3rd The main window shows the last book you read three books and more recently copied to your hard drive, not the three last read. This can not be changed. It seems like a small thing, but it gets very annoying when switching between the two books and none of them was one of the three last are copied to the device. You have to dig into his collection and buy the book, if not the last time you read. 4th Battery life is 2 weeks. It's pretty good, but not as good as the Kindle. And the battery is not easily replaceable (like Kindle) We have yet to see how long the battery. At this rate, probably a really long time.

Sleekest-looking e-reader out there mayfayre This is my second ebook reader, and I see myself slowly into a junkie e-reader. My first eReader Pro is the white Aluratek Libre, a different screen technology uses - a reflective LCD screen instead of E-Ink Sony (and the Kindle, The Nook, the Kobo eReaders). I'm still very happy with the reader, but as a gadget junkie, I had one that E-Ink technology uses to get. I thought about getting the new Astak Plus, but since the company is currently having difficulties getting their product on the market, I went with Sony - silver pocket edition. Let me just say that some of the most aesthetically electronic devices I've had in my life, Sony has designed, and the PRS-350 is another in the line. First, the firm has built an aluminum frame / housing. It does not feel fragile. It is very thin, and "pocket" label is misleading, the five control buttons on the front of the camera are well placed, but discreetly. The pen fits perfectly into a slot on the side of the eReader. The left side of the eReader has a lip slightly rounded and raised, like a real book spine. There is just enough to get the leverage needed to give the book to hold firmly. The frame is made of brushed aluminum PRS-350 uses the new Pearl e-ink display, the same as that in the latest version of the Kindle uses.
